Making an infused oil, ointment and simple cream with wild plants

Infused oils made from wild plants can be used to make lovely medicine for the skin. Whether you are interested in making a soothing balm or a cosmetic cream, infusing oils with plants is the first step. Learn different methods for infusing oils and the appropriate methods and temperatures required to make a stove-top oil.
We will use the infused oil to make an ointment and simple cream. Learn the difference between the two and what situations require the usage of each.
We will also discuss which local plants can be used topically and what their properties are.

I studied botany at the University of Calgary and recently completed a Master's of Science in Herbal Medicine in London, UK. I am a practicing medical herbalist and believe strongly that everyone has the right to access the medicines that grow around us.
