Scott Bell, Apprenticeship Programme Manager, Laing O'Rourke
For the last 7 years Scott has been responsible for shaping and managing the end to end delivery of Laing O’Rourke’s national apprenticeship programme which currently delivers 30 different apprenticeship routes from level 2 to 6, with 189 apprentices across the UK. The apprenticeship programme plays a key part in the business’ strategy by creating a pipeline of skills in to the business to meet its present and future needs.
Kathryn Porter, Director of youth Strategy EMEA, Hilton
Kathryn Porter is director of youth strategy for Hilton Europe, Middle East and Africa, driving a regional approach with local implementation of routes to employment for young people, including pre-employment, apprenticeships, internships and graduates. Kathryn has chaired the Hospitality Trailblazer, since 2014, developing 7 apprenticeships. Since April 2018, Kathryn has held the role of Vice Chair Apprenticeship Ambassadors Network, set up by the Department for Education to drive apprenticeships.
Warren Page, Apprentice Manager, Xtrac
Warren started his career in 1973 within the engineering sector as an apprentice. He has served in a variety of companies, both large employers and SMEs working on manufacture of gears and transmissions, machine tool, marine, aerospace, automotive and motorsport projects. Warren set up Xtrac’s award winning apprenticeship programme in 2003. He is a qualified assessor and verifier and has a full understanding on how apprenticeships work.
