Making Culture Work
Thu 5 January 2017, 10:00 – 15:00 GMT
This event is for all those from within and outside the arts who want to create a vibrant culture for young people, including practitioners, managers and commissioners. Our focus is 'place-making'.
This event is part of a short, sharp research-action in London. It will explore how we can embed evaluation in the co-production of arts and culture with young people so we get better results for them, and make a better case for what we do.
Be introduced to tools and techniques in current use
Work in depth with live case studies from participatory arts organisations
Receive follow up material including template pans of action for a local area
Our aim is to answer these questions together;
What is the role of arts and culture in place based ambition for young people? (that lead to outcomes)
How do we generate an appetite for evaluation that is meaningful to our work?
What are the right conditions for evaluation to be embedded in the arts sector and place making?
What approaches to evaluation are suitable for these conditions and also respond to our needs?
