Making Finance More Social
Event Information
About this Event
Please join us for a Panel Discussion hosted by Big Society Capital .
Many social entrepreneurs who contact the Black Country LEP Growth Hub seeking finance to grow tell us they find it impossible to find it. On the other hand, banks and other lenders tell us they’re happy to lend with a robust business plan and proven track record, just like any other business. This panel discussion will feature speakers from both camps, and explores how accountants and other intermediaries may be able to bridge the gap between two by raising awareness, managing expectations and improving quality.
Panellists include
- School for Social Entrepreneurs
- Unity Trust Bank
- ICAEW Midlands
- Black Country Growth Hub
- More TBC
This event is part of "FSE Festival of Funding" , a series of business skills and funding workshops aiming to promote access to support for businesses from underrepresented groups & areas.
We feel that at The FSE Group we have a duty of care to help all communities and groups gain access to the relevant support and help unite Midlands businesses, driving regional growth and prosperity for all.
The Black Country LEP Growth Hub is hosting this event in co-ordination with Big Society Capital as part of a renewed drive to explore the contribution of social enterprise and how the LEP can support its growth. The event is open to all and isn’t restricted to businesses in the Black Country LEP area.
