Description

Do financial matters cause your head to spin? If so, this practical, interactive workshop will help to explain the essentials enabling you to be more financially savvy.

The ability to understand and use financial information is of paramount importance to your business’ success and our accounting expert, Anita Gray, will guide you through the core elements and terminology including:

  • A focus on how the three main financial statements (your balance sheet, profit and loss account and cashflow statement) are put together and how they can be used to help manage your business better;
  • How to use key performance indicators (KPI’s) to assess the overall performance of your business;
  • Tips to keep on top of your finances, together with processes to help you feel more confident you are ready for the taxman and are meeting your obligations;
  • The 10 most asked questions by SMEs relating to HMRC deadlines, VAT thresholds, tax and allowable claims;
  • An insight into the cloud accounting software options available to save your company time and money, as well as keeping you connected to real time information to facilitate better business decisions.

There will also be the opportunity to discuss your business’ main financial challenges and receive advice on how to tackle these.

Don’t miss this chance to understand financial accounting with greater clarity. Book your place today.

Your facilitator

Anita qualified as a chartered accountant over 20 years ago with Price Waterhouse. Since then she has worked for several companies in senior roles, including National Express and Next, before setting up her own business as an accountant and business adviser. The most valuable and fulfilling experience Anita has gained is seeing small businesses she has worked with flourish and grow.
