Description

"So let us go forward quietly, each on his own path, forever making for the light" - Vincent van Gogh

At one time it was known as the sacred disease, mentioned in the New Testament by the father who begs Jesus to heal his son, 'a lunatic and sore vexed who oft times falleth into the fire and oft into the water.' Modern versions substitute lunatic for epileptic.

Despite affecting approximately 600,000 people in the UK, recent research suggests roughly 10% of people have a negative attitude towards people with epilepsy.

Presented as part of National Epilepsy Week, Making for the Light is a moving piece of drama about Art and Epilepsy. The performance will be followed by a post-show discussion about the issues raised.
