About this event

Join Anna and her students from Open Wings in this relaxed and informative craft session and find out how foil-wrapped crisp packets can be transformed into insulated blankets suitable for anybody who needs to increase their warmth including people rough sleeping experiencing homelessness in the cold months.

Please do bring along some crisp packets if you have for this session although we should be happily eating through a good supply on your behalf prior to this session and everything else will be provided.

Accessibility

Please note that there are some stairs to access this room, which are situated near the front entrance of the building. Although we will leave chairs at the bottom and the top of the stairs, this session may not be suitable for adults with mobility challenges due to building constraints.

This session is running to support community wellbeing and also to raise funds for the Sherwood Exchange—a local food hub that shares surplus groceries and reduces waste. After attending, you're welcome to collect a bag of food that might otherwise go to landfill Learn more at thesherwoodexchange.co.uk or find us on Facebook.
