The lack of diversity in the legal profession is highlighted in the Milburn Report's findings. It found that 75% of judges and nearly 70% of barristers are privately educated.

In the report "The non-educational Barriers to the elite professions, " the social mobility commission looked at entry into the profession.

The commission examined the recruitment processes at 13 elite law, accountancy and financial companies who between them appoint 45,000 of the best jobs in the country. It found that 70% of jobs offered by those firms in 2014 went to applicants from private or selective schools, even though such schools only educate around 11% of the population.

We have utilised the recommendations from the reports to enable attendees the opportunity to:

  • Ask this unique panel questions
  • Receive group and individual mentoring
  • Learn about career opportunities
  • Network with professionals in the field

We may never get this panel of speakers and mentors together again.

Registration will close once our allocation of tickets is reached.  register today.
