Event description

Description

Portfolio careers have never been more sought-after – but what are the realities of multi-hyphen job titles, and how hard are they to maintain? Both Dolly Alderton and Emma Gannon have successfully created careers around their talents and passions, leaving 9-5 office jobs to work as freelancers.

Join us for this evening panel talk, as the two women discuss how they balance podcasts, columns, newsletters, books and more, and what's important when considering venturing out to start a similar, multi-faceted career.

The talk will include how to:

  • Figure out what it is you want to do – no matter how long the list – and then go for it
  • Branch out from one career and specialism
  • Go (and stay) freelance
  • Working with brands
  • Collaborating with other writers and creatives
