About the artists
Elaine Grant and Mags Gray are graduates from Gray’s School of Art based atTorry’s Demouth Artist Studios.
Working with textiles, Elaine creates colourful characters, soft sculptural forms and playful accessories. Her work is inspired by themes of nostalgia and memories and is often influenced by narratives from her own personal experiences.
Mags designs and hand builds ceramic homewares and quirky vessels which she decorates using glazes, textures and ceramic pencils. Her inspiration is fluid and has included the North Sea, the natural habitat andprinted textiles. Both practitioners are experienced facilitators, sharing their creative skills while supporting participants to explore and experiment with different processes and techniques during playful workshop sessions.
