Event description

Description

Join us for our FREE event for educators interested in exploring digital strategies for STEM subjects across their schools.

What’s it all about?

Educators CAN teach STEM differently and digitally. Join us at this workshop to learn how to extend your current digital strategies into maths and STEM classrooms. During the course of the day, you will also learn how you can make learning meaningful, authentic and accessible for all learners, supported by the addition of new educational technologies to your existing STEM tech toolkit.

This workshop will share contemporary approaches to teaching and learning in maths and STEM classrooms by focusing on mindsets, design thinking, formative assessment and social innovation, all underpinned by technology. We’ve also added in a couple of deep dives into the innovative technologies that will make up part of your expanded STEM and literacy digital toolkit - EquatIO and Read&Write.

Guest speakers include; Chris Harte (Unstuck Learning Design), Luke Bohni (Head of Mathematics and Professional Learning at John Monash Science School) and our very own Texthelp Education Specialist, Greg O’Connor.
