Making Meaning with Scraps: Volunteering Social with Significant Seams

By Significant Seams

Overview

We will play with textile-art techniques in making patches for a richly meaningful jacket for a performance by the Turning Tides Project.

Making Meaning with Scraps: Volunteering Social with Significant Seams

Join us in person for a fun and laid-back social where we turn scraps into something meaningful! Whether you’re a sewing pro or just curious, come hang out, share stories, and contribute to a great cause. Significant Seams artist Catherine West will be 'coaching' us in this session. Come as you are! Inspiration and materials will abound. Catherine will meet you where you "are at" creatively. This is a session about being creative and useful/helpful whilst socialising with others from our community. No long term commitment. Muck in and get to know others along the way!

If you have any challenges to being part, dont hesitate to being in touch - to express your interest -or to empower us to help make reasonable adjustments.

Follow us on Eventbrite to be alerted as new sessions, events and opportunities get added. Via Facebook you can get more behind the scenes info and inspirations for your art-making and creative-health. Over at our website, you can learn even more (including about getting us involved in your project(!), and join our mailing list (monthly-ish).
