Event description

Description

As antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is becoming a global public health issue, there is an increased need to access antibiotic surveillance data to inform public health needs, set up new breakpoints and encourage innovation.

The Open Data Institute, supported by a grant from the Wellcome Trust, is delivering a project aimed at gathering and openly sharing antibiotic surveillance data generated by pharmaceutical companies. The outputs of this research will be presented during the workshop “Making open antimicrobial resistance (AMR) data happen”, on the 27th of March 2018.

The workshop will offer an opportunity to look at the diverse datasets collected and discuss how these could be utilised to inform actions to reduce the global burden of antimicrobial resistance.
