This introductory session is designed for all early years practitioners working with children aged 0–5. It aims to increase awareness and understanding of autism and the importance of inclusive practice from the very start. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, participants will:
- Gain a better understanding of what autism is and how it may present in young children
- Explore how to create autism-friendly environments and routines
- Learn how to adapt communication and interactions to meet diverse needs
- Understand the importance of early identification and partnership with families
