Event description

Description

Wednesday, 28th August 2019

Environmentalists and coders unite in this sensor-making workshop, where young coders get the chance to create their own light-up device to check on the quality of pond water, and test it on some samples. They’ll be employing their coding genius to construct the sensor with a BBC micro:bit and Make Code drag and drop editor, then getting hands-on filtering water samples to see what difference they can make!

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our workshops. If your child has additional needs, please get in touch on live@scienceoxford.com to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.

10AM - 11.30AM ages 7-9

2PM - 3.30PM ages 9-11

All sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

£8 per child, accompanying adults free. Ticket entry is for the workshop only, and does not include access to the woodland or Exploration Zone.

Please note there is no parking on site.
