Event description

Description

Feedback is one of the hottest issues in higher education. Students are often dissatisfied with the feedback they receive, but there is also an issue with how students respond to the feedback they receive. What do ‘being critical’ and ‘being more analytical’ really mean? And why are they so important in your academic writing?
This workshop will explore how you can interpret the feedback you receive and make the best use of it for future assignments. There will also be the opportunity to find out more about FEATS, a brand new and unique Feedback Evaluation Assessment Tool developed here at the University of Surrey (Dr Naomi Winstone will be present to discuss and share this tool).

What you will get from attending:

  1. An improved understanding of how to use your feedback
  2. An appreciation of how feedback can help you further develop your work
  3. Find out more about the new FEATS tool, how to enrol and how to use it to get the most out of your feedback.
