Making your home warm, whilst reducing your bills and footprint

We are delighted to announce that Otley 2030 will be holding a series of talks across 2025 that will look at key issues related to climate change, nature recovery, and social justice. These events will give local people the chance to learn about interesting topics from experts in their field and also find out more about Otley 2030 projects and how they can get involved.

Talk 3: The UK has some of the draftiest and least efficient homes in Europe, and our homes are responsible for approximately 20% of green house gas emissions produced in this country. Come and find out how local resident Rod Holt has retrofit his Otley terrace house to an incredibly high standard and what you can do to reduce your bills and make your home more comfortable, whilst reducing your carbon footprint.

After the talk there will be chance to mingle with Otley 2030 volunteers and learn about our projects, whilst enjoy a cuppa and some treats from the Otley Community Larder.
