Event description

Description

Just 10.1% of UK Regulars are female. So what is it like to work in an industry dominated by men? And how easy is it to transfer the skills picked up in the Armed Forces to the corporate space?

Male Allies and AFTER have joined up to bring you the latest in a series of deep dives into women’s roles across various industries. We will be discussing the transferable skills gained from service, how to leverage them, and the journeys our panellists took upon leaving the forces to end up where they are today. We will hear from a number of speakers – both veterans and those still serving, including Lieutenant Colonel Val Robertson and Captain Alice Williams, the first female officer to Commission directly into the Royal Armoured Corps.

We will be addressing questions such as why recruiting ex-military women is good for Barclays and Financial Services, what skills have they found the most useful since transitioning from military life and how can Barclays help support ex-military women?

The event is also open externally so there will be veterans and those still Serving. Please join us for what promises to be a fascinating and insightful evening.
