Maliki Fiqh: Prayer (Part 2)
Sun 4 December 2016, 11:00 – 18:00 GMT
Our Maliki fiqh course, taught by Sidi Muhammad Iqbal, continues with the section on the basics of prayer based on the foundational text, "Al Murshid Al-Mueen" by 'Ibn Ashir.
Al-Murshid al-Mu'een is a widely recognised primary text for learning Islam. In it the author, Abd al-Wahid ibn 'Ashir, summarises in verse the three sciences of Islam, Iman and Ihsan: Maliki fiqh, Ash'ari 'aqida and Junaidi tassawwuf.
Sidi Muhammad Iqbal will rely on Sidi Mayara 's commentary of Ibn Ashir's book to continue with the section which covers prayer (salaat).
Following on from the previous course which covered the obligatior aspects of prayer, this day course will cover the following areas:
-Sunnan of Solat
-Qada of Fajr and Subh
-Prostrations of forgetfulness
-Laws governing the Jumu'a (Friday Prayer)
