An after-school community club for local students in primary and secondary education in the Malvern area who are interested in Raspberry Pi computing. Particularly aimed at Years 5-6 in primary school and Years 7-8 at senior school, although older students are welcome to join in / help out too.
We have some Raspberry Pis, keyboards, display monitors, power, and wifi available for you to use or you can connect up your own Pi. Plase do bring your own accessories if you can, as we only have a limited supply.
This is an opportunity to come along and learn about the Pi hardware and software and perhaps get started on your own projects. We'll be working our way through some CodeClub modules, getting to grips with Scratch and Python on the Pi platform. You can also bring along your own projects to continue developing them at the session. Come to be inspired, make friends, and collaborate on new ideas. All levels welcome from complete beginner to advanced coder!
STEM Ambassadors will be on-hand to troubleshoot Pi problems and offer help and advice.
The event is free to attend, but because space is limited, we ask you to please register in advance. Complimentary squash and biscuits will be provided to fuel the brain, and other light refreshments will be available for purchase from Cafe H2O. Parents are welcome to stay too (there is no need to register as a parent).
The sessions are on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, arrive from 3:45pm for a 4pm start, and we finish at 5pm. We also have Family & Adult Malvern Raspberry Pi Jam sessions for accompanied older students (e.g. School Year 11 upwards) and adults to participate in.
