Join Finding The Fells for an exhilarating trail run exploring the stunning landscape of Mam Tor, The Great Ridge and Peveril Castle. Whether you've got experience as a trail runner or just starting to leave the tarmac, this event is a great confidence builder.Ideal for: any runners capable of running the full distance (this event isn't aimed at beginner runners). Pace will be sociable with plenty of pausing to admire the views.
Distance & Elevation: 8.3 miles /1,500ft

Route description:Starting from Blue John Cavern we’ll head up to the summit of Mam Tor via it’s western staircase and then follow the Great Ridge eastward down to Hollin’s Cross before a steep climb to Back Tor then on to the quieter end of the ridge at Lose Hill. We’ll then head downhill following the lower level trails into Castleton before passing around the back of Peveril Castle to ascend the rocky gulley of Cavedale before circling back to the start.
