Mama Journal Circle
Overview
Motherhood is an unravelling and a becoming. It’s a rebirth, an identity shift, a storm that strips away the familiar and reshapes you from the inside out. This transition, known as matrescence, quietly dismantles the life you knew and invites you to emerge as your true authentic self.
This journalling circle is for mamas who want more than small talk. It’s a place for real connection. A place where you can feel seen, heard, and held by a group of amazing mamas, just like you. No judgement. No expectations. Just a safe space to process, release, and reflect.
We’ll gather in circle, sip ceremonial cacao (a marvellous mood-boosting superfood hot chocolate!), and experiment with different journalling practices - giving words to the chaos, joy, and messiness of motherhood.
What’s included:
- Grounding movement meditation to arrive fully in your body
- Empowering word circle ritual
- Cacao ceremony to soften & open the heart
- Learn about the benefits & different styles of journalling
- Guided journalling practice (this month we’ll be exploring the theme of identity)
- Body shake & shimmy release
Who it’s for:
🌙 Mamas at any stage of motherhood looking for a nurturing space to slow down & reconnect
🪶 Those interested in exploring different styles of journalling as a way to help them process the motherload
🤎 Mums seeking connection with themselves and a supportive community of other mamas
What to bring:
- A blanket if you’d like to feel extra cosy (comfy cushions & throws will be provided for you to sit on)
- Paper & pens will be provided, but you’re very welcome to bring your own journal
- Water bottle
About me:
Hello! I’m Maisie - a copywriter, women’s circle holder, and mama to a squishy 7 month old and rascal 4 year old.
I’ve been in the copywriting business for 14 years and have been journalling for 25 - ever since I got my first Girl Tech Password Journal as a child (hello nineties!). I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of words and how the simple practice of journalling can untangle thoughts, release emotions, and reveal truths we didn’t know we were carrying.
Becoming a mum has stretched me, softened me, and rebuilt me in ways I never imagined. Now, after the birth of my second child, I feel a deep yearning to connect to the mother tribe. To create a nurturing space where mums can pause, breathe, and explore the transformation of motherhood - together.
Through journalling and circle work, I help women reconnect with themselves, process their experiences, and feel supported in the wilds of matrescence.
