Event description

Description

Capall Dorcha is offering a 5-day theatre performance programme for young people in Ayrshire from S1+. Inspired by 'Mamma Mia', it will include dance, singing, acting, and performing. On the Thursday there will be a short performance for family and friends to attend.

To finish off the week, on the Friday the whole group will travel to the Oran Mor in Glasgow to watch 'Divided', a lunchtime theatre show with professional actors, for free! All participants will also gain a Bronze Arts Award for taking part.

During the four days we will build an ensemble as the participants learn drama skills and make a new show culminating in a public performance. Throughout the week young people will learn new skills from musical theatre professionals as well as getting to watch professional actors perform on the final day!

This week-long workshop is tailor made to support young people living in Ayrshire to learn new theatre arts skills and build more creative arts opportunities for them to continue after the event has finished.

The cost for this week-long workshop is FREE though we ask that you only register if you can attend all the dates provided below as we have a limited amount of spaces. Travel to and from the theatre performance in Glasgow on the final day will be provided by us, as well as cost of the ticket price.

The workshop is designed to give young people living in North Ayrhshire the chance to work with industry professionals and learn new skills, whilst gaining a qualification which can help towards their future. **It is important to note that taking part in each day is essential for participants to gain their Arts Award**

Lunch is provided for free to all participants and is funded by Cash For Kids.
