Fans of the 2008 smash-hit Mamma Mia can grab tickets as the sing-along show lands in Kilmarnock this November. The Palace Theatre is the venue on November 2nd with a 6:30pm showing.

Plan a fabulous day out with the family, friends or work colleagues and enjoy this feel-good film in fine voice!

The film features an incredible array of big names including Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper.

The story follows Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, as she prepares for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends.

Meanwhile Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

Tickets for similar shows across the UK have sold out in a matter of days, with the Ayr showing expected to have similar appeal.

Organisers LHDG Media said, “We are extremely excited to be bringing a Mamma Mia sing-along film to Ayrshire.

“The Abba soundtrack is a smash-hit and is loved the world over. You can’t beat a room full of fans singing along to Dancing Queen!

“As well as being an incredible film, we know many people enjoy the music just as much. This event gives fans of the film the chance to relive one of the greatest movies of the modern era whilst singing along until their hearts are content.

“This is a show we are really looking forward too, it will be a real feel-good evening and it’ll certainly put a smile on your face.


Dressing Up Guidelines

Dressing up is restricted to guests under the age of 12. Masks that cover the face; costumes that contain metal or sharps components and capes longer than knee length will be restricted in the interest of guest safety.

Are there ID or minimum age requirement to enter the event?

There are no ID requirements if a digital or printed copy of the tickets for the event is permitted. If you forget your tickets and a member of our team is required to check you in manually a form of photo ID must be presented either the id itself or we will also accept a photograph/copy.

Mamma Mia the movie is rated PG meaning younger viewers may attend and view the film at their parents or guardians discretion. The showing is not recommended for under 5’s

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The palace theatre is located directly across from the Kilmarnock Bus Station and a short walk from the train station. The theatre is both clearly visible and well sign posted. The bus station has regular services to Glasgow, Ayr and Irvine as well as many of Kilmarnock's surrounding towns and villages.

Car parking is available behind the Salvation Army just past the Theatre or on the opposite side of the road, there are 2 large car parks. There is also a car park at the bus station and a multi-story car park there too. All of these car parks are within a few minutes’ walk of the theatre.

What can I bring into the event?

Small Bags and Coats will be permitted into the venue however may be subject to bag checks.

What's the refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. We will not be permitting refunds or transfer of tickets for this performance

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You may print your ticket at bring it with you. We will also accept a copy of the ticket displayed on a mobile device as well as the Eventbrite digital ticket format downloaded onto smartphone eg "Apple Wallet"

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

We understand that you may receive these tickets as a gift or the person who made the purchase may not be attending the event so the names do not need to match. As long as a valid ticket is displayed and verified either a paper copy or a digital ticket you will be granted entry to showing. Please note if you forget or lose the ticket we will require identification to check you in manually so you may wish to ask for the person who purchased the tickets to send you a photograph of their identification.

Is the venue accessible?

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and features accessible restroom facilities. There is also wheelchair access to the Bar. Guests in wheelchairs are required to book a specific category of ticket from this page "Disabled + Companion" The companion ticket is complimentary. This ticket includes a space for the wheelchair to be placed as well as a seat directly adjacent for the companion. Disabled parking spaces must be reserved seperatley and in advance of the event by calling the palace box office on 01563 554925.
