Description

This is a British-Indian historical drama film directed by Gurinder Chadha released this year to mark India’s 70th Independence Day from British rule. The movie attempts to tell us the untold story behind Partition.

This screening is the first of three events for Black History Month under the theme:

We are here, because you were there.”

Tues 24th Oct: Partition 1947.
Wed 25th Oct: The Stuart Hall Project.
Thurs 26th Oct: The Hounding of David Oluwale.

All events will be held in Geoffrey Manton Lecture Theatre 6 from 4-6pm.
