Course Description:

This 5-week cookery course is designed specifically for men who want to learn to cook delicious and healthy food. The course aims to promote self-sufficiency, improve nutrition, and foster a sense of well-being through cooking. Participants will learn practical cooking skills, enjoy nutritious and simple recipes, and develop the confidence to prepare meals that are both healthy and enjoyable.

Course Objectives:

  • Build Cooking Confidence: We teach easy-to-follow recipes that are tailored to individual tastes, focusing on simple techniques to create nutritious meals.
  • Promote Social Connections: We encourage group discussions and social interaction during each class to reduce isolation and promote community building.
  • Focus on Wellbeing: We emphasize the role of nutrition in mental and physical health, helping participants understand how food can support overall wellbeing.
  • Support Independence: We equip participants with skills to cook for themselves, fostering greater independence and self-care at home.

Target Audience:

This course is for men of any age who may be facing life changes such as bereavement, living alone, or experiencing social isolation. It is suitable for beginners with little to no cooking experience or those looking to refresh their skills in the kitchen.
