If you answered yes to any of the questions above then Management Essentials is for you!

The Clinical School HR Team are offering short, interactive and participative briefing sessions to support staff in management and supervisory positions responsible for the performance, conduct and development of University staff. The sessions will not only explore themes in relation to employment law and the University policies but also the practical application of these policies in a workplace environment. The sessions will also provide an opportunity to network and share experiences with other managers across the Clinical School.

Management Essentials: Induction and Probation

The aim of these sessions will be to consider what makes an effective induction process, and how to manage a probation period looking at objective setting, effective feedback and the University’s policies. A robust induction and probation plan is important for both the employer and employee and managers play a critical role in both.

Please note the Wednesday 14th March session will take place in Seminar Room 11- Clinical School building whilst the Thursday 29th March session (a repeart of the previous session) will take place in Seminar Room 3- Clinical School building.
