Lea_p is delighted to announce that our two day Manager as Coach program has been accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The ICF is the leading global organisation dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certifications and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals.

On completion of Manager as Coach you will now receive a CCE (Continued Coaching Education) accreditation and a certificate.

This course is a 2 day workshop designed for managers and leaders who are wanting to explore deeper connection with their teams, understand how to communicate more clearly and effectively for greater results and increase self-awareness. It is designed to explain the principles of the coaching relationship, train participants in coaching skills and how to apply these immediately with colleagues and beyond.

Our main goals:

  • Understand coaching skills and be confident to use them with your team.
  • For participants to gain a clear understanding of what coaching is and experience coaching skills from a coach and client perspective.
  • For participants to gain an understanding of how coaching fits in the workplace and the role of manager/trainer.
  • To provide a personal development experience over the two days (through the coaching exercises) so that participants sense the value of coaching and are inspired to put into practice!

Some of the topics covered:

- The Coaching Relationship: Explains the dynamics of the coaching relationship, how to set up a safe environment for your coaching conversations and design the coaching relationship in order to create honest communication from both parties.

- Three Levels of Listening: Listening is an incredibly valuable and underused communication skill. There is not only 1 way of listening but 3! And we will train you in how to listen at all those levels.

- Powerful questions: Once you understand how to listen at a much deeper level, we will teach you the skill of how to ask true powerful questions. This will help your team really get to the heart of what is going on for them.

- Understanding and Exploring Values in Coaching: Explore the difference between values and beliefs, discover what your top values are and how these are impacting you. You will learn how to understand the values of your team and explore why this is so important for a happy workforce.

Training you in an array of coaching skill:

Following the explanation of more coaching skills like metaphor, metaview, championing and intuition, we will practice coaching in dyads and triads with short coaching sessions. You will get to practice your skills and get some great coaching on a topic of your choice!

How many times do you genuinely acknowledge your staff? This skill is absolutely brilliant for motivation and making your staff feel valued. You will experience the power of this for yourself.
