The session will delve into best practices for employers in managing sick leave from an employment law perspective. It will address compliance with the law, the potential operational impact of long-term sick leave, employee wellbeing, and how best to balance the organisation’s needs with the statutory obligations and the wellbeing of the organisation’s employees.
Recent changes in legislation in Jersey now permit employees to continue receiving sickness benefit while working simultaneously, provided employees have a return-to-work plan approved by WorkWell.
