Please note this course is for charities and not for profit community groups only. The delivered session will be delivered by the Access Advisor from the Access and Sustainability Advice Service (ASAS) which is based at the Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE). This 2 hour training session is for people who work in third sector organisations in London who want to make their buildings and/or services more inclusive for all.
The sessions are an invaluable opportunity to network with others in your industry and kickstart important conversations around accessibility.
Eligible participants (please see below) are welcome from a wide range of service types from theatres to places of worship, museums, community centres, heritage buildings and sports facilities.
There will be an opportunity to share ideas with others on improving access and the visitor experience across charity organisations. The course will cover the following topics:
- The Equality Act
- Access requirements
- Making adaptations to existing buildings to improve access
- Funding opportunities for London based charities
