About this event

A secondary or advanced cancer diagnosis can be a massive shock and disease progression misunderstood by both employee and employer.

In this interactive workshop for HR professionals, line managers and Occupational Health professionals we will explore:

  • How employees can continue to work successfully with secondary or advanced cancer, and how to manage the challenges
  • Managing disease progression and changing needs
  • The legal framework and reasonable adjustments
  • Having difficult conversations

Brought to life with real case studies and examples.

Note: included in this workshop is a 30-minute follow-up call which gives you the opportunity to ask any further questions or to seek advice on a specific situation within your organisation.

Organiser of Managing advanced cancer and work

Founded in June 2014, Working With Cancer® is a Social Enterprise which supports employers, employees with cancer, and working carers about returning to work, remaining in work or finding employment at any stage during or after cancer treatment. Working With Cancer® provides 3 main services:

  1. Consultancy
  2. Coaching
  3. Training

We provide workshops from one hour to half a day in length, including webinars, covering all aspects of managing work and cancer. These are provided for HR professionals, line managers and health professionals.
