Managing aggression and physical intervention for schools (full day)

This whole-day course on managing aggression and physical intervention is a mix of theory and practical training. It includes an introduction to managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation techniques as well as exploring the law regarding physical intervention and restraint. It then teaches physical techniques including disengagement, defence techniques, basic guiding and holding/restraint techniques for varying risk levels.
This course is delivered by Able Training
All participants will be asked to sign a medical indemnity form before they start. Please let us know any medical conditions that may prevent you from fully participating.
Please wear comfortable/casual clothing which allows you to move freely. Footwear should be flat, enclosed and non-slip. Before any practical training begins all delegates will be instructed to remove any jewellery and ensure that finger nails are cut/filed to reduce the risk of scratch injuries.
