Andrea Garcia-Sangil is a highly respected safeguarding professional with over a decade of frontline and strategic experience in protecting children and promoting safe organisational cultures. Since 2015, she has served as a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO), managing complex allegations against professionals and advising on safe practices in settings that work with children.
Andrea is also the Managing Director of In Safer Hands, an independent safeguarding consultancy, where she delivers tailored training and support to organisations across sectors. Her work focuses on safeguarding leadership, positions of trust, risk assessment, and embedding robust safeguarding cultures.
In addition to her LADO role, Andrea serves as an Independent Safeguarding Panel Member with Sport Resolutions, advising on safeguarding in sport, and is a certified CEOP Education Ambassador and Trainer, contributing to national efforts to combat online child exploitation.
