About this event
This session will give an overview of key things to consider and know when working with archival and heritage sound collections using the experience of managing the Unlocking Our Sound Heritage project in Scotland. Whether you are starting to create a sound archive, or trying to make them available to people, we will cover some of the challenges and opportunities associated with working sound collections and leave with some first steps to tackle any sound collection you manage.
This session will be run by Alistair Bell, the National Library of Scotland's Sound Collections Curator and Jeni Park, Unlocking Our Sound Heritage's Scotland Hub Project Manager.
This workshops will take place via zoom. Attendees will receive an invite link to the workshop the day before the session.
