We all experience some level of anxiety and this is a normal reaction.

About this Event

Our courses are open to all adults who are UK residents and live, work or study in Leeds.

We all experience some level of anxiety and this is a normal reaction. Things like returning to work after time away, walking into a busy shop, attending a dentist or doctor's appointment, can cause feelings of unease or fear and lead to us feeling anxious - all this, is very normal.

But for some of us these feelings can become overpowering and have a significant impact on daily life. In this course, we will explore our personal thoughts on anxiety, what it is and what it means for us. We will look at the times when we are feeling anxious and talk about the practical steps and techniques that we can take, to help us feel more in control.

In this 'live' online session, we will:

- Explore our personal understanding of anxiety and what it means for us

- Identify times, events and situations where our anxiety is high

- Discuss ways to help manage feelings of anxiety and gain more control

Leeds Recovery College opened in 2019 and delivers a range of education and training courses that have been specifically designed to increase awareness and understanding of mental health, wellbeing and personal recovery.

Courses are co-designed and run by people with lived experience of mental health problems and health professionals, trainers and education providers.

Our courses are open to all adults who live, work or study in Leeds and you don’t need to be referred to the college to book on a course. Simply enrol on the course or workshop that is of interest to you.

Once you've made you're Eventbrite booking, we will get in touch and ask you to complete a course enrolment form to confirm your course place. You will receive course confirmation and joining instructions before the course starts and this will include information about the course.
