Event description
Fully-funded immersive workshop exploring anxiety and depression featuring highly acclaimed theatre production, ‘A Pint Sized Conversation’.

About this Event

This fully-funded immersive workshop takes place the same week as World Mental Health Day. It promises to be a powerful and unique opportunity to explore the issues surrounding managing anxiety and depression. The workshop following the performance will be tailored with particular reference for those working in the social care and health sectors in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

We are thrilled that the session will feature theatre production ‘A Pint Sized Conversation’. Presented by Dylan Frankland, Rosa Day-Jones, Tobias Grace and Katherine Lea. They describe A Pint Sized Conversation as ‘a piece about mental health and offering support. About not getting it right all the time. But trying.’

World Mental Health Day on 10 October seeks to raise awareness of mental health issues and to mobilise efforts in support of mental health. This workshop takes place just a few days later on 16 October and offers the opportunity to explore issues surrounding managing anxiety and depression in a dynamic and innovative way.

Reviews for A Pint Sized Conversation include:

‘one of the most informative, effective and inventive pieces of theatre I’ve ever seen’ London Theatre 1

‘It is totally human, and raw, and urgently, desperately necessary’ Upper Circle

The session will include an opportunity to discuss the themes raised by the performance and explore how best we can support those experiencing anxiety and depression.

Timetable:

9am: Arrival

9.30am: Start

Midday: Lunch

12.30pm: Finish
