Welcome to the Managing Carer Stress event at St Andrews Community Hospital.

Caring for someone living with dementia can be deeply rewarding, but it also comes with emotional and physical challenges. Many carers experience stress, loneliness, and exhaustion, often putting their own needs last. This session focuses on your wellbeing, providing practical strategies to help you stay strong, connected, and supported.

By the end of this session, carers will be able to:

Identify common stressors associated with caregiving roles

Understand the impact of caregiving stress on physical and mental health

Learn strategies to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing while caregiving
