Event description
How can we use sport and physical activity to address positive behaviour change?

About this event

The workshop explores how Sport can be used as an engagement tool to address social exclusion, anti-social behaviour and community tension and build stronger communities.

Participants learn the characteristics of ‘hard to reach’ young people and how to effectively engage with them. They are shown how to recognise the causes and triggers of anti-social behaviour and they explore the development of tools and skills that enable young people to take ownership of their issues and effectively manage challenging behaviour.

Who is it for: Community sport project leaders, coaches and volunteers

Please note:

Participants should be supporting young people in Hampshire (including Portsmouth, Southampton, and Isle of Wight).

We ask that no more than 2 participants per organisation - if you have additional staff or volunteers who would benefit from this session, please drop us a line: helen.beckley@energiseme.org or emma.Dovener@energiseme.org

If you have any additional needs or learning requirements, please get in touch as we would love to accommodate you as best we can!
