SMPTE UK Section

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE),
is the world's leading technical society for the motion imaging industry.

  SMPTE members are spread throughout 64 countries worldwide.
The UK section formed in 2012  reflects range wide range of work in "film" and TV" operations, POST, services, Digital Media,  manufacturing, univesities and R&D across the UK.
We encourge networking and contacts to occur on a larger scale-
particularly for those new to our industries

Our members include Broadcast engineers, Editors, Digital technicians, Manufacturers, Designers, 
Consultants, Project managers, Students  
and users in networking, compression, encryption and more.

The UK section is the third largest SMPTE section
and forms a Region with a Governor on the SMPTE board 
representing the (almost) 600 members in the UK
