Event description

Description

Volunteers can make a significant contribution to the smooth running of a voluntary organisation and following best practise in involving volunteers can ensure that difficulties do not arise. However it is impossible to mitigate against all potential problems and there will be times when difficult situations do occur and then we need to be confident about how to handle them.

We would like delegates to submit an anonymised real life example of a difficult situation in advance of the training so that we can work through some actual cases..

Objectives:

This course is designed to enable participants to:

  • Understand the key role that following best practise plays in helping minimise the chance of difficult situations arising.

  • To feel confident that the right processes and procedures are in place to deal with situations, should they arise.

  • Understanding and feel confident in using key skills and techniques when dealing with difficult conversations.

Who the course is for

Small to medium voluntary, charitable and community organisations (up to 25 paid staff).

Please note: To ensure the maximum number of organisations benefit from this offer there will be an administration charge of £40 for organisations whose delegates do not attend. You may cancel up to 48 hours before the course date without paying this charge.
