Overview
With the world becoming more mobile and diverse, diversity has taken on a new importance in the workplace. All countries will have specific legislation in place protecting worker’s rights, and ensuring equality of treatment for their workers. It will pay to examine in detail the legislation within your own legislative context.
Today, as a manager, you will be expected to not only manage a diverse work team, but also to ensure your organization applies workplace legislation to prevent discrimination and conflict within the workplace.
This course will help managers understand the core principles of equality and diversity management, and to recognize the benefits of diversity within workplaces. You will learn how to cope with diversity challenges at work, and learn to how to promote equality and inclusion in the workplace, in line with legislation and management best practice.
Schedule: The Masterclass is scheduled over 2 x 4 hour Virtual Sessions , conducted over a period of 2 consecutive weeks.

In this first session, you will gain an in depth understanding of diversity in the workplace, and learn about the challenges such as gender stereotypes, racial discrimination, inequality, and the legal obligations which require your organization to maintain a respectful and equal access workplace.
MASTERCLASS SESSION 2: Managing Diversity and Inclusion (Week 2)
In this second masterclass session, we explore in detail best practices and techniques you can use to cope with discrimination, to manage discrimination complaints, and how to demonstrate respect within your work team and wider work environment. You will also learn how to use workplace policies and procedures to support your situation, and how to promote a respectful and inclusive work environment for your team.
