About this event

Health • Personal health

Managing Menopause on a Tight Budget is a free, supportive session designed to make menopause information clear, practical, and accessible. Many face challenges navigating perimenopause and menopause with little guidance, which can affect confidence, wellbeing, relationships, and participation in everyday life. These challenges are particularly difficult for those on a low income.

This session addresses the role of poverty stigma as a barrier to accessing support. It offers evidence-based information, dispels common myths, and will share simple, affordable strategies for managing symptoms. It will also highlight the important links between menopause, mental health, and financial pressures, creating a safe space for open discussion.

Participants will:

  • Gain practical strategies to manage symptoms
  • Build confidence in understanding and talking about menopause and about poverty
  • Learn about local services, income-maximisation support, and wellbeing resources
  • Connect with others in a supportive community setting.

Whether you’re experiencing menopause yourself or supporting someone else, this event will give you the knowledge and tools to feel more in control – whatever your budget.

A free lunch is included in the session.
