Description

Over 78% of Scottish women aged 50-54 and almost 70% 55-59 are in employment+, while the average for women to experience the menopause in the UK is 51* - so the menopause is most definitely an issue for business.

Kindly supported by BITC member DWF and featuring guest speaker Lauren Chiren of Women of a Certain Stage, this event aims to:

  • make the case for why businesses like yours must provide effective support for women experiencing menopause as part of your inclusive approach to managing your ageing, gender equal workforce of the future
  • break the stigma surrounding menopause in the workplace
  • help you recognise the symptoms of menopause which can have significant impact on womens' working lives
  • focus on practical action, sharing with you evidence of what works
  • offer support on how you can create a culture in which menopause can be openly discussed and where strong support is offered
  • Employers need to know the health and wellbeing implications of the menopause in order to effectively manage your ageing, gender equal workforce of the future.

This session will be of particular interest to:

  • HR professionals
  • Health and safety managers
  • CEOs and Directors
