Managing Mental Health at Work
Overview
Course overview
Poor mental health affects one in four people each year. Despite this, only 24% of managers have received training on mental health at work. This can lead to issues going undetected, employees not receiving the support they need, and a decline in overall performance. This course will increase your knowledge and confidence to help you open up supportive conversations and address concerns effectively.
Who should attend
This course will be useful to anyone involved in managing people including
those with HR responsibilities. This course can also be adapted for
staff training.
Benefits of attending
Delegates will feel more confident and capable in dealing with matters related
to mental ill-health and will be better equipped to manage employees who have
mental health issues. This includes how to prevent, detect and address cases.
Crucially from a risk-management perspective, delegates will understand the
risks related to disability discrimination and will know how to identify “red flags”
and the importance of seeking help.
