Course overview
Neurodiversity refers to the naturally occurring differences in the way that our minds work; no two brains are quite the same. There are aspects of the workplace that might present challenges for neurodivergent staff and their managers. This course will help delegates to better understand neurodiversity and support neurodivergent employees to enable them to thrive in the workplace.
Who should attend
This course will be useful to anyone involved in managing people including
those with HR responsibilities.
Benefits of attending
Delegates will increase their knowledge on neurodiversity so that they can be
more alert to, and responsive to, the potential challenges experienced by
neurodivergent employees. Delegates will feel more confident in opening up
supportive conversations with staff to understand, and respond to, their needs.
This should, in turn, create a more diverse, engaged and inclusive workforce
where each person’s individual strengths can be harnessed for the benefit of the
organisation. Delegates will also understand the legal risks regarding disability
discrimination to minimise potential liability for the organisation.
