This course is to help managers of volunteers to reflect on some of the things that hold them back when it comes to managing volunteers, and to develop the confidence and skills to address poor performance.
Who is the course suitable for?
This is appropriate for trustees or staff with responsibility for managing volunteers who occasionally find it challenging to manage underperformance in staff who are unpaid.

Setting up volunteering so that it reduces the risk of poor performance
Identifying poor performance
Addressing poor performance
How to manage yourself
There are no entry requirements for this course, although participants will require a reasonable understanding of English.
To access this course free of charge you will need to be currently working for a voluntary or community organisation based in Leicester or Leicestershire. Organisations who do not meet these requirements will be asked to pay.
