About this event
For the first time in history, five generations are working together, bringing diverse skills and perspectives to the workplace. While this presents unique challenges for the people profession, it also offers immense potential, but requires a culture of mutual respect and learning.
In this session, as Generation Z continue to emerge into the workforce, we will be learning from industry experts on how we can overcome challenges and leverage opportunities presented by multiple generations working together to improve knowledge sharing, employee engagement and organizational commitment, and therefore improve retention, inclusivity and productivity in our workforces.
Objectives:
- Workplace trends and predictions for the future world of work.
- Key traits, opportunities and challenges.
- Key things to start doing now to embrace generational diversity.
- End of Session Q&A
This session will be the first of the season for the CIPD in South East Wales, and will begin with a brief annual meeting to confirm committee members.
Speakers:
Charlotte Phillips - Neighbourly
I'm currently working with Neighbourly, a tech-based giving platform who connect large businesses with small local charities, in an account management capacity. This builds on a number of years in technology recruitment, where I worked across a number of sectors. Throughout this time, I led a Diversity in Technology ERG, as well as being heavily involved in the Bristol Women in Business Charter. I have a keen interest in all elements of diversity, especially age diversity and intergenerational workplace dynamics.
