Toolkit Talks

Toolkit Talks are learning and development opportunities for staff who manage others. The series comprises eight 2-hour sessions repeated twice a year and adds value to the content within the Managing People Toolkit. You can take just the ones you need and in any order.

Who can attend?

Toolkit Talk sessions are for academic and professional services staff who manage others in any context. As managing and leading people in academic and professional service roles are slightly different, we will deliver some sessions split by academic and professional service roles; the content will be broadly similar but the context-specific examples will be different in each session.

In this session you will explore

  • handling instances of discipline and grievance
  • using your discretion fairly and equitably
