Event description
An interactive workshop to help analysts avoid over-promising and under-delivering and at the same time maintain a healthy work/life balance

About this Event

This practical four hour online workshop provides participants with some key steps and techniques to help them avoid overcommitting, which not only represents one of the key sources of stakeholder frustration but also is a major cause of analyst stress and discontent.

Through a combination of theory, examples and exercises participants are introduced to practices and tools to help them effectively plan and manage their workloads whilst also managing stakeholder expectations. Topics covered include:-

  • Why do we over commit ourselves?
  • Understanding Capacities
  • Being Assertive
  • Transparent planning

The workshop is facilitated by Steve Hulmes, Sophic's founder and former analyst and manager of analytical teams. For over 14 years Steve has been helping train and coach client analytical teams to improve their productivity and impact and ultimately help them realise their potential. Steve's unique workshops have been attended over 1,000 analysts since 2006 and have been endorsed by some of the UK's most experienced analytical leaders.

The workshop is delivered over Zoom and is limited to just 8 participants to maintain a high level of interactivity and facilitator to participant contact.
