Description

Managing your PhD research data

Digital Curation Centre (DCC)

Good research is underpinned by good research data management.

This workshop, which will be delivered by data experts from the Digital Curation Centre, will explain why it is important to actively manage your research data; address the key issues and challenges in data management and introduce the concept of data management planning. Students will have the opportunity to use the DMPonline tool to complete a data management plan for their PhD research.

By the end of this session students will:
•be aware of the main drivers for good research data management
•know the issues they will need to address in managing their own PhD data
•be able to complete a data management plan.

This workshop is open to any student currently registered on a research degree programme at the University of Northampton. Further information is available from Simone Apel (simone.apel@northampton.ac.uk; 01604 893418).
